Who is black and who colored??? – 2nd Junior High School of Kalymnos, Dodecanese, Greece

λευκό, μαύρο παιδί
Vakina Glynatsi sent me a lovely poem a child from Africa  have written and was nominated by UN as the best poem of 2006. We thank her warmly. Comments are precious and they are yours!

When born, I’m black
When I grow up, I’m black
When I sit in the sun, I’m black
When I am afraid, I’m black
When I get sick, I’m black
And when I die, I still am black

And you white man
When you’re born, you’re pink
When you grow up, you become white
When you sit in the sun, you become red
When you cold, you become blue
When you are afraid, you become yellow
When you get sick, you become green
And when you die, you become gray
And you call me colored …
